KNX Keypads and Water

To avoid damage to the electronics, specific devices need to be used in environments where contact with water is possible, such as outdoors or in plant rooms. 

Gira have KNX rockers that are rated at IP44, making them protected against direct water contact. If a higher IP rating is required for environments where water jets or immersion will occur, you will need to use a binary input mounted in a third party specialist keypad. If a momentary switch is used with the toggle function of the binary input then the keypad will always be in sync with the system.
