The fan coil actuator permits the electrical control of one or two fan coil units. Fan coil units are used for requirements-oriented heating or cooling of rooms, and can be installed just like con- ventional radiators anywhere that a central heating and/or cooling system is installed. With these devices, air circulation is supported by a blower. This uses low-noise fans to move the room air past the heat exchangers. The blower output can be controlled using in most cases up to 6 speed levels.
Depending on the design of the device, fan coil units are used in 2-pipe systems (heating only, cooling only, or heating and cooling via a common piping system) or alternatively in 4-pipe systems (heating and cooling via separate pipes). The fan coil actuator supports both of these piping principles.
Description
- Connection of a Fan Coil Units (FCU) with up to 6 Fan Stages or connection of 2 FCU each with up to 3 Fan stages with double pipe systems.
- Manual operation or building site operation without bus voltage
- Operating modes for heating or cooling, or combined heating/cooling
- Two pipe or Four pipe operation. Two pipe system heats
- or cools via a shared water cycle. Four pipe system consists of separate flow and return for heating and cooling.
- Individual or hierarchic switching of Fan Stages
- Feedback, output display, block function for each channel, level limitation
- Behaviour after bus voltage failure or bus/mains voltage failure and following an ETS programming process can be configured
- Limit values can be set
- Cyclical or event-oriented transmission
- Free channels can be used for switching functions e.g. for room
