How Can I Test if a KNX Device is Receiving Power from the Bus?


Not sure if your KNX device is receiving power from the bus? Here's a simple way to test it:


  • The simplest way is to press the programming button. If the programming LED lights up then it is connected to the bus.
  • It will need to be turned off again otherwise the device may inadvertently receive a different address when commissioning.
  • It is also possible to see all connected devices by doing a line scan using the diagnostic features built into ETS5.
