Is it Possible to Link a GIRA Smoke Detector to a Fire Alarm Panel or Control System?

A separate relay module is available which can be installed into the unit. This has two binary outputs (volt free contacts, 2-way, rated at 30V/1A).  This module will indicate detection of smoke as well as an additional contact for fault. 

If multiple smoke detectors are connected, then the relay module will trigger when any detectors go off, but will only show the fault from the local detector.

This connection method may not meet the requirements of the fire alarm panel or the building regulations if a high grade of protection is required.
