What are the different ways to connect to ETS via IP?
The KNXnet/IP Tunnelling connection is a direct connection to a KNX line with no filter table. However a filter table may still be in operation at a higher level either in a twisted pair line coupler or in an IP router.
The KNXnet/IP Routing connection is a multicast connection that may have a filter table enabled as it is used for connecting KNX lines together over IP.
When you are connecting via ETS it is possible to use either connection however it is important to understand the difference as it may affect how many devices you can access on the bus and the number of telegrams you will see in group monitor.
